Baptismal Font Fabrication.
The entire process of building this baptismal font was completed over several steps. In the early stages, we utilized heliarc welding to create the inlet and outlet piping. Composed of 100% stainless steel, the inner tub was then welded to meet the necessary water-tight specifications. Once the inner tub and tower were connected, we worked on the outer skin.
Created from 3/16” aluminum, the outer skin had accent pieces of a dove with an olive branch engraved on it. This was completed to a depth of 1/32” before it was painted in a contrasting color. The final elements involved were the tile inlay cut-outs that you’ll see on the top of the inner tub, as well as the sides of the tower.
Once the core drilling on the floor was finished and the drain lines were run (connecting to the pump), our team completed the installation on-site at the church.
